I recently migrated to Opera (on the desktop and on my Android phone) after running Chrome for a long time, then trying Firefox for a brief moment.

There's this wonderful Firefox feature that I miss in Opera for Android. I'd love to see that in Opera at some point if possible: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/open-links-background-later-viewing-firefox-android

When I used Chrome I used Lynket app alongside Chrome which embedded Chrome webview inside it, but kept loading stuff in "bubbles": https://medium.com/@arunkumar9t2/introducing-chromer-2-0-a-better-way-to-browse-on-android-c34ff729df1b

What do you think? I think it would greatly improve mobile experience.
Or maybe it's already there somewhere and I could not find it in the settings?

@gregolsky Long tap on a link > open in new tab. The link will be opened in background.

@leocg thanks, but it's something else.

When I have set Opera as my default browser in Android, when opening a link in another application (e.g. Feedly RSS reader) I'd like it to load a page in the background, but do not leave the original application. Then a loaded page could be accessed through a notification (which would activate and open Opera) or using a bubble (draw a floating bubble over other apps). The former is how Firefox implemented it, and the latter is Lynket browser solution to the problem (feature is called Web Heads).

Ah, okay. I edited your title to be clearer. One feature I do like about Firefox for Android (links from other apps don't cause it to steal focus). Sorry, no idea if they've given it serious consideration, but it has been suggested before - quite some time ago.
