How can I paste bookmarks to speed dial?

This worked in the past. When I import my bookmarks from another browser I need to copy&paste a bunch of them from a specific folder to the speed dial folder of Opera. Though I can't paste them into the Speed dial now. (Other folders are pasteable.)
Any help would be appreciated.

Under "Bookmarks" in the drop down box in the menu, copy the bookmarks you watn to add to Speed Dial, then open "Speed Dial" in that same menu, and paste them. They should now appear on your Speed Dial page

I think I've found the problem...
The bookmarks that I want to copy&paste contain also some bookmark folders besides the individual bookmarks. And some of them have other folders in them too. If this is the case, I mean folders in folders, the paste command doesn't work.
