Google Keep Chrome extension functions except I cannot sign in

Hi, trying to switch from Chrome to Opera. So I got really excited because Google's Keep extension for Chrome actually works on Safari in that it can be installed, shows up properly, and when you click it, it generates a proper preview of what you're saving. The only problem is that it says you need to log in to use Keep. But I'm already logged in to Google and Keep in particular. How do I fix this? I rely on Keep so this is actually a pretty huge feature for me.

Huh? You said Safari... if you did mean Opera, tell us which version (build number or at least "Stable" or "Beta" or "Develooer").

@sgunhouse Oh sorry yes I meant Opera. Long day. Opera 53.0.2907.68 stable.
