Unending reload of gmail

Is there a cure out there for the Opera Stable 21.0.4732.57 problem of constant reloading of a gmail account? I go into my gmail, and opera loads it, then reloads it adnauseum. I cannot do emails with opera because it keeps reloading and reloading. Any help out there?
