Can't Play Videos on Various Websites

Each time I go to sites like ABC, or CBS, and try and play any videos I get error messages saying I don't have an updated browser, and to use something else. One says I need a browser able to play "HLS", whatever that is! By the way, I'm on Opera 52, the most updated version, just updated 15 minutes ago...

according to your report DNAWIZ-38561: we contacted them quite time ago ( DNA-65869, DNA-62664) but still didn't get any changes from their side.

@tina I don't think I understand what you are saying. You contacted CBS & ABC about this, and they didn't make any changes? But why do other browsers work fine with those sites, but not Opera?

This websites allow video playback only for browsers from their UA acceptance list. So it's a bit difficult do fix this problem without any cooperation from their side

Would faking the user-agent help? If they are sniffing for certain browsers and you fake one of those, would they see through that or not?

@concretable , It would be an easy and simple solution But unfortunately in this case it doesn't work
