Blocking Pop Up Ads

I'm trying to block pop up ads but it's not working. I'm using Windows 8. I click on youradchocies.com, and I see over 100 companies listed. Then I "select all" so they're all checked, then I click "opt out of all." After a few seconds, I get this message: "Opt requests for 2 participating companies were successfully completed for this browser." What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

@ljfried You may need to ask the site. I don't see how Opera is related to what that site does.

By the way, Opera has a pop-up blocker.
