  • Will all my bookmarks and information still be stored if i redownload opera and log back into my account?

  • @jluong94 Yes, if you were logged into sync then your bookmarks will appear on the new Opera installation when you login on it.

  • I synched my bookmarks and information before reformatting of computer. Re-installed opera on new installation.

Logged into opera sync, bookmarks and information are not appearing in opera.
The information is there when I log into the such account.

What am I doing wrong ?

  • @aki76 Do you see your bookmarks in https://sync.opera.com/web?

  • @leocg

Yes i do, but i am not so interested in bookmarks...i am more interested in these "Speed dials".

I am seeing them at https://sync.opera.com/web? also

  • @aki76 You should see all your data on the sync page, otherwise it would mean that your data wasn't synced.

If you are seeing your data there but not on your Opera, then it means that something is blocking the synchronization. Try checking if opera://sync-internals/ gibes you a hint.

  • I see data in synch page, but it apears they are apearing as two copmuters.

I changed the computer name after re-formatting and then the "new computer name" and "old computer name" are comming up as two folders.

All data are there....but under old computer name...

    Strange....

  • change your user name to this new install to what you had before and try you sync again, though it should make one bit of difference. now you said you reformatted, but you're still seeing you old info. that should not happen. sounds to me you just installed over the top of your previous install.

  • @aki76 This is just how it works. Each Opera installation will create a new folder with the device's name for Speed Dials.

Ok, so they will not be downloaded to new computer ?

I have tried change user name, did not work.
I was formatting the partition and made a clean install. i was not installing over the old installation.

They should. Did you check in 'Other Speed Dials'?

In case you want to use the same SD on each Desktop version you can do it following this steps.

    Windows 10 (x64) | Anniversary Update
Opera Stable · Beta · Developer

Opera Test profile | Opera Reset / Back up Linux · Mac · Win

That made it, found them in bookmarks and draged them over to the current computer.
