      For the clean profile:

      • Opera Help > Find solutions.
        | - And rename the profile folder -.

      • You can try renaming BookmarksExtras before.

      F5 didn't fix problem.
I reinstalled Opera prior to posting this, trying to fix this. So I started with clean profile.

      Works then?

What BookmarksExtras file is for exactly?

      Follow the told steps.

      No, it didn't work.
I need to know what that file is, so I can fully restore my bookmarks in new installation, and leave out speed dial only.

Looking at that page right now, but didn't find what are these files for, that are next to regular Bookmarks file:

          Bookmarks_000
          Bookmarks_001

Followed every step. Still no thumbnails, besides deffault ones that come with Opera (Facebook, YouTube, Bookings...). Every bookmark I add to speed dial is without thumbnail.

Can anyone confirm me that they have thumbnails working at all? As far as I can see, this feature is not present in Opera, besides some big websites, like Facebook, YouTube, Booking...

Absolutely. I have 2 laptops, Windows 7 and the Speed Dials that have been there for many of the last iterations of Opera are still ever present

It seems that it was a misunderstanding.

If you mean default Opera thumbnails alike, then it depends on the website.

The most "similar" is, adding a bookmark, click on the left arrow to select the "default" thumbnail.
It would appear the default Logo or the site or the Domain name.

Is this what are you referring to?

                      --

This are the "default" thumbnails on my SD.

@corey Some sites have partnership with Opera, I guess, and there logos will appear as thumbnail when you add them to Speed Dial/Bookmarks.

For other sites Opera will use the site address schema. You can however, change the image later if you want.

                          Where is this left arrow?

So, I was correct the whole time, Opera did remove thumbnails (logo or website thumbnail, like mini preview).

                            Minipreview...
You are referring to the Old Opera - I suppose -.

Those thumbnails are no longer available.

                            --

                            The left arrow:

@corey I am in Opera 51. There is a workaround, but is for more advance users.

                              Look into \AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Bookmarks

Edit the file and point the link to the image. Hassle. But can't help.
