      Hello,

i like opera very much but there are things bothering me.

      1. Opening a link in a new tab is already available but i cant open an adress which i have to mark (and its not set as link on the page ) in a new tab. It always opens in the same tab when i open the marked webadress with rightclick. I have to mark and copy the adress , open a new tab and paste it there if i dont wanna loose the actual tab.
      2. Id like to choose filetypes to open with specified programs. I know its disabled for security reasons but it should be somehow possible for those who know what they are doing. Or at least an "open with" dialog. The default app to open .dlc (jdownloader)filetype is already set in windows 7 but opera just downloads the file instead of opening the file in my downloadapp.
      3. Opera also wont open my irc programm (kvirc, portable) when clicking on an irc link (no way to set default irc handler in windows) . It was possible once and should be again.

      thanks

You can open a new tab before pasting in the address. Just click the plus sign on the tab bar.

You obvisiously dont get what i intend to say.
Other user requested the same as me ,1 day later. maybe his post makes it clear for u.

            1. As a Workaround - until will be news about it - for addresses that are not as links, you can use an Extension or a Userscript to convert them to link.

            2. As a Workaround - until will be news about it - there is an Extension in the Chrome Store to do it, but needs an small system installation too.

            3. Point 2 maybe helps.

Try holding Ctrl or both Shift+Ctrl when you click on the menu item. Not certain, but that's how it ought to work. (I'm on a tablet now and can't check.)

I tested the extensions and converting links did not work on the page i tried(html). Last update of that extension was 2015., dunno.
As for 2nd part, the extension with the externl app did partly what i intend. Some links it still wanted to download. Other extension i tried couldnt open some links cause they open through .js after clicking the link, so i couldnt use the menu option of that extension.

                  thx anyway

Would be much easier with an "open with" dialog 😉

                    This Uscript is updated.

Since I'm not noticed any not clickable link I suppose it works but don't have any specific site to test it.

                    You'll need TamperMonkey or ViolentMonkey.

You want an unclickable link? www.marines.mil/Photos/igphoto/2001848103/

The forum doesn't recognize "mil" as a TLD and there is no protocol, so it is just text.
