White bar and black borders in opera window

  • I have got a white bar on the top edge of the screen above the window title bar, but only when the window is maximized!

when not maximized it looks like opera does not use the whole window space available -> black borders

Opera is the only programm where this happens.
I'm on a MS Surcface, with 2736x1824 px Screen Resolution and 200% scaling (=default) but this is also the case for 100% scaling.

Is there something I can do?

  • I have same issue, long time

  • Why is the maximized window black and gray (especially the tab bar)? Opera can be set to a dark theme, but it should be the same (either dark or light) when maximized as it is normally.

Which build of Opera is this?

  • Sorry, I see it now... but 49 is an old version; 52 is current. Any reason why it's such an old version?

  • Hi, thanks for respondig! I realize the Screenshots were not very good (one taken with dark theme the other with the normal bright theme).
49 was the current stable version at that time.

With version 55 this issue can be considered FIXED!

(the white bar is gone, there is still a 1-2px black border inside the window border when the window is not maximized though, but that's not a problem)
