  • I just joined this forum today. I'm relatively new to Opera (about 6 weeks or so; a refugee from Mozilla who can't figure out just what they're doing with Firefox and who doesn't have the time to constantly adjust to their reworking of the browser) and I came here to see if there was some way to disable PDF files from displaying in Opera. Various searches led to solutions that don't seem available in my version of Opera, 48.0.2685.52. So is there some way to make .pdf files download only rather than have them display in Opera?

I did do a forum search on 'pdf'. Seems most people want to display pdf's in Opera. I do NOT. I just want to download them and not display them.

  • Check Settings > Sites and enable ' Open PDF files with default application' .

  • Not sure if I was able to delete my initial reply or not but I misinterpreted your message originally. That DID do the trick. Thanks for the guidance!
