Problem with History

Sorry - this is a tad confusing so to reiterate
-
Regardless whether or not I close Opera down before rebooting - it doesn't save my history either way
-
The setting is already set for "continue where I was"
-
The history is always blank after reboot

Are you using a private window by chance as you don't mention this?
Is yes, your speed dial (start page) should remain intact, but sites you visited previously (history) should be gone.
What version Opera are you using?
I always use private window (as I am now) so hope my comment may assist. (Posted from dev v50).

What about settings, saved passwords, bookmarks, etc? They are saved?
The setting is already set for "continue where I was"
And when you re-started Opera it doesn't show your opened tabs?

Hi leocg - I don't have any passwords saved. Bookmarks are still there. And No - it doesn't show my opened tabs - that's what I'm asking about - it's not saving them even though It's set to save them

So - again last night - closed computer down, started it up this morning and same thing. No Tabs - and history is blank - it says NO HISTORY ITEMS IN THIS RANGE. This is very annoying as I don't want to go back to firefox as it's very laggy and stops responding but at least it keeps my tabs and history - surely there has to be a fix/answer for this??

yes - a complete reinstall of it and it's still doing the same - however I've added - checked the history again this morning and nothing - empty again. I've changed the setting to open browser with specific pages - I add them last thing at night if I want to keep them open and the next morning they all load but I shouldn't have to do it like that. Oh well. Seems there isn't a solution to it
