links on websites

  • Hello. I clicked a link to something on twitter today and it popped out into a new window. is there any way to get links to open into new tabs. i feel as if opera used to do it but now its changed or something?

  • If the link uses javascript to specify a size for the new page, it will open in a new window so as not to change the size of the current window. If the link does not specify a size, then it will open in a tab. That's how Opera works currently. Is there some way to change it? Not that I know of, except that an extension might remove the window size specified in the link.

oh... well that sucks. when did this start happening? a few days ago it wasnt doing it... and is there a way i can rollback versions until its fixed?

  • Does it still happens after you have disabled all extensions and created a clean profile folder?

Links on Twitter here open on a new tab.
