I'm using opera 47.0 and can't find a simple way to email someone a link to a webpage. I've never seen a browser that didn't have this feature. Can someone tell me where to find it?
Thanks.

You need to use some extension.
I've never seen a browser that didn't have this feature
Chrome, Firefox, etc.

They all have it. Even Opera Mini on my iPad has it under 'share'. But not the desktop version.

Not here. Are you sure you are not running any extension?
Even Opera Mini on my iPad has it under 'share'.
It's because of the OS and not the app.

I'm using opera 47 on a windows 7 desktop and there is no way that I can see to invoke mailto: to send a webpage link to someone. Firefox has it, chrome has it, IE has it.

We are talking about a mailto address not working on some page(s) or we are talking about sharing a page link to other people? They are not the same thing.

I want to share a page link via email. In firefox, for example, there is a button that says, "email a link." Click the button and an email window pops up with the url already in the body of the email. The email is sent by my email program, which is the default mailto: program on my pc.

Right click on any web page will bring up your default email program, with the link including in the body of the email

I want to share a page link via email.
You can only do it by using an extension or by manually copying the page address and pasting it into an email message.
