Opera 12.18: Cannot change location of Wand and Contacts

I cannot seem to change the location for bookmarks.adr, contacts.adr or Wand.dat. It just says "File not found. Check the file name and try again." I'm not asking it to find a file. I'm trying to select a location for the file from now on. Is this a deficiency in 12.18? Its rather important to back up bookmarks, contacts and passwords! I want them in one folder and then I'll back up that folder every so often.

If I remember correctly, you need to copy/move the files to the new folder first and then change the path to the file in settings.

Bookmarks and contacts can be changed directly if you wish, but wand.dat will require you to edit the setting in opera:config, save the changes, then restart Opera before the change takes effect - in that sense it is probably easier just to change all 3 in opera:config, click the appropriate Save buttons and then restart.

opera:config#UserPrefs|HotListFileVer2
opera:config#UserPrefs|WandStorageFile

Those are the locations in opera:config that you need to change (though you could just type the filenames in the Quick find box - that's what I did), and you'll need to click Save in both MailBox and User Prefs to save the changes, then restart Opera. (Yes, I still have 12.18 installed.)
