Irritatingly slow Opera

I only have 7 tabs "saved", but every time I open Opera, my computer becomes irritatingly sluggish... Any suggestions?

Did you try checking Opera's task manager to see if there is something out of normal?

It seems it¨s this occurs on my other house-hold computers as well, so it's not only my computer who has this problem...

Does opera have a task manager? how do I access it?

Menu > Developer > Task Manager. Or Shift + Esc.
