It has been shown that with Opera 46.0.2597.32 (latest iteration, Windows 7 64 bit) using Google Maps with no acceleration is a problem (bug??) in that 2 things are happening...#1 GM is extremely slow to the point of being non-functional and #2 when Opera is in the process of loading a page, the mouse cursor starts a blinking with the little blue circle going on and off even when Opera is minimized.

Enabling Hardware Acceleration cause these problems/bug to disappear. I believe in Opera appeared in 46.0.2597.32 - I did not see in in 46.0.2597.28.

Anyone want to address this issue, thanks

Why do you disable hardware acceleration?

At one time (can't remember why/when) I had an issue, and the solution was to disable acceleration. Thus the catch 22, on Opera some problems go away when you disable it...and vice versa.

Well, I guess things should work with hardware acceleration turned on.

I had to turn off hardware acceleration to put google maps in Traffic mode. With HWA on, refreshing the page would show the map, overlay the traffic colors, then remove the traffic colors. When I searched google for a fix, turning off HWA was suggested, and worked. But with HWA off, I get the flashing hourglass and maps is very, very slow, if it responds at all.
