Yet another stuck on 'Loading' problem

I have no problems using Opera on Linux at work but at home most of the time when I try to launch it on Windows 10, the tab that opens sits with the message 'Loading...' and never goes any further. This makes it unusable for me but I've see this is a common problem although I haven't managed to find a solution posted anywhere. I can open new tabs but all them sit with the 'Loading...' message also.
Version is the latest - 45.0.2552.898
Any suggestions are very welcome.
Thanks!

Try starting Opera with '--disable-gpu' parameter.

Thank you, I'll try that and see what happens. Strangely it happens on both my laptop & also a desktop PC so very different hardware.

I guess hardware doesn't matter that much here. Rather software environment, who is responsible for the accelerating. :sherlock:

Disabling the hardware acceleration didn't help
Sometimes it works which is strange most of the time just stays at 'Loading...'. Oh well time to uninstall I guess and stick with chrome.
