Is shocking in Opera now. What have you done? I expected updates to mean improvements but it's got worse with each new update and it looks like this YouTube will be the final straw for me.
The audio stutters and is choppy, making videos annoyingly unwatchable/listenable. I realise that YouTube have changed their page design and so on, I've played about with 24 bit/96000 Hz sound quality settings, I've tried them all.
But here's the thing. YouTube video play back is perfect in both Seamonkey and Maxthon browsers, even the add ons/extensions work, so it can't be blamed on the new YouTube design, nor on my hardware. This indicates to me that it's an Opera problem.
Are you going to fix it, or can you even fix it? If you can't, you'll be losing me and others that I recommend Opera to.
Agreed . For me its not just youtube though . Its ANY video from ANY website . The audio is out of sync with the video and the entire browser is choppy and unstable . Very annoying .
Even worse . Opera makes it next to impossible to go back and use a version that was working fine before the "upgrade" . At least for a casual user like myself that doesn't understand all the technical jargon used on this board .
I fixed it, but it's not very clever on Operas part, but here's how I did it.
I downloaded a previous older version of Opera, version 40
I saved my bookmarks and completely uninstalled this ridiculous version 45, then used Crapcleaner to completely remove all traces of Opera. I went through my C drive manually too and took out everything.
Restarted my PC and installed version 40 and guess what? YouTube is playing fine now. I've disabled updates and won't be recommending Opera from now on until (or if) they fix these problems. It's ridiculous to go back to an old version to get an operational browser. Updates are supposed to be improvements.
