Non standard ports blocked?

When I try to connect to non standard web ports like 9200 (elasticsearch) or 8080 Opera always returns a timeout message.

Are those ports blocked? Is there any way to unblock them?

Opera does not block 8080 at the very least. Now, some firewalls will block non-standard ports ...

Disabling all the extensions didn't help.

I noticed it doesn't happen when using private browsing.

Checking this website http://www.whatismyproxy.com It reports that opera is using a proxy in China?

Why's this happening? How can I disable that?

Ok... it was de damn Opera Turbo.

To disable that on Mac... Menu -> Opera -> Opera Turbo
