A Former User last edited byI also can't listen to certain radio stations either. Using Mint 17.2 which is built on Ubuntu 14.4. I have googled and tried everything. yes, I have tried installing pepper flash using this advice from Ubuntu forums: https://gist.github.com/ruario/215c365facfe8d3c5071 also this advice: http://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2016/11/new-pepper-flash-installer-for-chromium-firefox/ I have tried several times with several different ppa's. Nothing works. when I check the status my linux reports I have current flash version is 24. What am I doing wrong, or is it just that not all video can work on Linux ??? Many thanks !

A Former User last edited byThank you for your help on this. I installed H.264 as recommended using these instructions: http://www.webupd8.org/2014/12/how-to-get-flash-and-h264-to-work-in.html Unfortunately it did not work. Can you please suggest / recommend a link or post for a fail safe method for getting H.264 installed on Opera to play CNN videos on Linux? I love Opera, it's so much better than Chrome Thanks !

A Former User last edited by@avi @sgunhouse You guys ROCK !!!! Thank you thank you !!!! It worked !! For anyone else who needs this help, this is what you do: -
Make certain you have flash installed. I followed instructions to install pepper flash, but this did not fix my problem.

Install the correct H264 codec for Opera. You do this, by following these instructions:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/amd64/chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra/download NOTE!!! Even if you are using Mint 17.2 / Ubuntu 14.4 you must install version 56+ of the codec. Version 53 does not work.
Also use Synaptic package manager. Follow instruction on this link on how to add the source to synaptic. Once yo have done that it is a simple case of selecting V56 inside synaptic and install.Restart Opera. Bingo !
