What version of Opera and OS? What extension you were trying to install? From where?

File access denied? Sounds like your antivirus didn't like the file, or your disk is full.

Try right click on "Add to Opera" and open on new tab.

I have found that if I will try to load an extension and I get the error, if I go to Opera --> Extensions, the desired extension is shown there disabled. A message is there saying that Opera does not know about the extension source. I can then tell it to install anyway. Works like a charm.

It happened to me while I was trying to install Disconnect Search. I couldn't reproduce on second try though.

Perhaps this error is thrown when the connection with the server is so bad that it times out?
