In the older versions of Opera you could simply delete a site you did not want to pop up in your address bar by clicking on the little x in the drop down menu, but now everything I try doesn't work. The little x is no longer there in there version I use, which is Opera 42. I have deleted browsing data including auto fill. Can someone help me? Would like to clear individual URLs from the address bar.

opera became retarded product after google bought it. they ruined it and currently only reason i am still using opera is free dns. and as i see they think hard for "how can we ruin more?" in the office all the time i guess.
ps: deleting links from history is not works for url auto fill!

Google does not own Opera and never has. Opera is based on Chromium, which Google is the major contributor to, but Google doesn't even own Chromium. Chromium is open source, and anyone who wants to could create a fork (a new version separate from the official version) as long as their changes are also open source.
And I presume you mean auto-complete, not auto-fill.
