Every time I start Opera I get the following error message:
The error dialog box has the title'Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library '
The contents of the dialog box:
'This Application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.'Opera does seem to work in spite of this error but tends to be a bit flaky and needs to restart itself fairly regularly (every 10 minutes or so)..
OS: Windows 7 64 bits on a Dell Lattitude.
Any suggestions, please?

Does it say what happened? Any extensions that might be involved?

As I understand it "runtime" refers to the components of a programming system that allow it to run applications on a computer.
This is distinct from the full set of programming files that you need to have to actually produce the software.
So, for instance, the C++ runtime files allow applications written in C++ to run on the computer, but do not allow you to program them, for that you need a full installation of the C++ software development kit (SDK).

If you rename opera_autopdate.exe in Opera installation folder, does error go away?
