Hi,
I figured out a problem on my computer while playing videos on YouTube and other sites. In some cases I simply get no sound output, but I can see in my Windows 7 sound mixer adjuster that there is sound putted out, but I can't hear anything.
This is a strange bug, because it does not appear on all videos, only on some. I can reproduce this on new videos. Old videos works perfect. So, I guess it is a HTML5 video handling problem specific to Opera. I can also reproduce the same problem with the same video source in Internet Explorer 11. The only browser I get it working was Firefox version 39 and upper.

<tr>
<td>Issue:</td>
<td>No sound on some videos on YouTube and other sites. This appears only on new videos (mainly videos posted this year). I first recognzied this issue at summer this year.</td>

<tr>
<td>Does this issue appear in other browsers?</td>
<td>Yes, it doesn't work also in Internet Explorer 11</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Do we get the expected result in other browsers?</td>
<td>Yes, in Firefox version 39 and upper it works as expected</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Used sound hardware:</td>
<td>Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional Series internal PCIe 1x sound card</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Do we get it somehow working?</td>
<td>Pause the video, open up standard sound output device and change it to SPDIF-Out, unpause the video and you will get sound. Pause the video again, change the standard device back to the sound card 3.5mm audio jacks, unpause the video and you will get the sound output.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Additionally information:</td>
<td>It seems to be a problem with the Windows audio server and how Opera access it. Maybe Firefox access it in a different (working) way and you could figure it out by reviewing their source code.</td>
</tr>

</tr>
</table>It is not practicable to change the sound device in order to get it working on none sound outputting videos. So please fix this.
Thanks,
derwunner

Well, I have Opera Version 41.0.2353.69 as 32 bit binary.
@leocg Please tell me exactly what you did. Your comment is not very helpful right now.
And as you can see in my original post, there was also a problem in the chrome engine. Maybe Opera has reopened that bug for some reason.

I opened the Youtube video of your report and it played fine here on Windows 10.
Maybe Opera has reopened that bug for some reason.
What do you mean?
By the way, it seems to be a hardware specific issue so probably only someone with a Soundblaster sound card may be able to reproduce the issue.

Yes, maybe it is a sound card related problem. But in other browsers like Firefox it works. So it's also an Opera problem on handling that sound card.
I mean with reopenend a bug, that Opera could maybe have brought back that old bug. Sometimes this happens in software development. Nobody is perfect...
