Reversed to old Google?!

Hello.
My partner and I swapped from Chrome to Opera 20.0 but I cannot for the life of me figure something out.
His Opera, when searching via the address bar, goes to the up-to-date google.cz (we are in Czech) with all the integrated stuff (such as calculator/exchange/new image search layout etc). Mine reverted to the old google. I cannot stand it, but I cannot find a way to fix this.
The only way I can search the "new" Google layout is by manually deleting the .cz in the address bar, in the midst of a long url, and replacing it with .com - EVERY SINGLE TIME i search.
The only thing I was able to find was someone having the same problem with their Firefox and someone suggesting to add a new string entry "general.useragent.override" but I don't think this is something I could do in Opera.
I'm asking this here because this never happened in Chrome, only in Opera, and obviously only for me. Help.
I am adding a couple of screenshots, hopefully they'll explain better than I did.

I also wanted to say that our browser settings are exactly the same except for my AdBlocker extension. I disabled it, restarted Opera but nothing changed.

Built-in search engines, including the default one, are selected based on the computer's locale. Check what's specified in the file Local State in Opera profile. (If you decide to edit it, close Opera and backup the file first!)
There is a node like "location": { "country": "us", "country_from_server": "unknown", ... } -

sgunhouse> that's amazing. It worked. I don't get why given Opera is a new browser for me but OK!
Thank you.

I'm also having this problem, and I tried deleting the cookies as sgunhouse up there suggested, and it didn't work. Being stuck on the crummy old version of Google is starting to drive me crazy, and I like Opera too much to switch to another browser (ESPECIALLY not Google Chrome, if this is a deliberate attempt to get me to start using it. I won't be coerced!)
What else should I do? Is there an extension I can download to force new Google, or should I try getting Opera Next and see if Opera's patched in a fix for it?

Download this extension for a temporary fix. https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/user-agent-switcher/?display=en
and select OPERA ON WINDOWS -

Same thing for me. Seems like a glitch with the latest update Version 21.0.1432.48 as it just started today. But the agent switcher worked! None of the other suggested fixes worked.
