Opera automatically Bringing to front when a noise is played

  • being logged in on facebook and receiving a message, automatically brings opera to front, which I greatly dislike and cannot find out how to disable this feature. I stay logged in on facebook when I'm talking to someone and receiving a message will automatically bring opera to front, which can greatly disrupt what I am currently doing

  • help

  • cannot find out how to disable this feature

    It's not a feature.

Only when you receive a chat message?

nope, even when playing an interval timer that beeps loudly every minute or so, opera will bring itself to front. however listening to music, other youtube videos are fine to play in the background.

  • help please, I hate this feature

  • Sorry, I can't understand how do repeat your Opera behavior? I have no facebook account and don't know what you mean with "playing an interval timer"?

  • Go on youtube and look up interval timer, they're usually videos that play a loud beep at certain intervals. Every time it beeps, opera brings itself to front, greatly interrupting whatever I am doing. The same thing happens when receiving a message on facebook.

Couldn't reproduce it here. Maybe it's a Windows setting?

  • It is difficult for me to reproduce it also, maybe it is. It happens 3 beeps in a row, sometimes it doesn't. Very menacing when trying to play multiple accounts on the games I play. If you guys can't help me then I guess I'm stuck with dealing with it, whether it's a function of opera or not. Thanks for your help and views anyways.
