Am I sure that a message has been sent?

I use Opera Mail with my PC, and sometimes I have noticed that a message I thought I had sent actually did not reach the recipient, even if it appeared as sent in the web mail server (Gmail).
This happened with my previous web client too (Thunderbird).
How can I be sure that an email message has been actually sent with Opera mail?Bye

Are you sure you're being precise?
There's sent and there's delivered. If a message has been processed as sent, it might have been actually sent -- OR it was a bug. This is first.
If a message has been sent but not delivered - it's second. -

For example, their mail service might consider your message as spam.
In Opera Mail, look at the list of access points - you'll see one called "Outbox". If the Outbox is highlighted and has a number next to it, the message has not been sent yet. If it hasn't, then click on the "Check/Send" button. But as far as what happens after that - you have no way of knowing what happens after it leaves the Outbox.

Some e-mail services provide an option to require a delivery report.
I've no idea if some such thing there is in Opera Mail though.
