NPAPI ("Netscape" plug-in architecture) is an old architecture that the major browser vendors (Google and Mozilla) speak publicly against (point these plug-ins as the cause of a lot of crashes and other issues). PPAPI (Pepper) on the other hand seems to be at least a little more modern to carry on Flash while it's not dead yet. So what's your problem with it? -

So what's your problem with it?I have nothing against the normal flash player which I have installed in my PC, I moved to opera because pepper flash player is horrible.It lags as hell, on the other hand normal flash player is perfect

What is wrong with pep flash player. I am looking for a way to install it since it may fix flash controls and make HIDPI flash work.
Could you tell me where the instructions are?

I tested Pepper Flash Player in Opera Developer and the performace is not good as NPAPI Flash.

chromium will be dropping support for NPAPI, so it will definitely happen. In my experience the PPAPI flash does use slightly more CPU, but in other ways performs better (for example when scrolling a page with embedded npapi flash, the embedded player will often lag quite noticeably while scrolling, for a very noticeable example see the twitch.tv homepage. with ppapi flash the embedded player scrolls smoothly with the rest of the page).
PPAPI also brings security and stability improvements. IMO its easily worth some extra cpu usage.
Hopefully flash will die out in a few years anyway :p

I hope Pepper Flash have a better performace soon. it lagged a lot on Chrome and that is the reason I left Chrome.
