I know that when you click on the little heart in the address bar, the page you are bookmarking will automatically be placed in the Unsorted Bookmark folder. Is there any way to change that default placement without having to redirect manually the bookmark to a different folder....such that when I click the heart it automatically goes into my designated folder.

For instance, I want to place new bookmarks in a predesignated folder that I have on my Bookmarks bar called "Later Viewing."

      help

the page you are bookmarking will automatically be placed in the Unsorted Bookmark folder.

Currently Opera puts it in the latest used folder.

Just select it once and Opera should use it until you change it again.

Leo, thanks...I figured it out just now. I created a new folder, named it "Later" (pages I don't want to peruse right now, but will check out later)...put the folder where I wanted it on the Bookmarks Bar...voilĂ , when I now add a bookmark using the heart icon, it will go there.

Normally when I want a bookmark to be placed in a specific folder that I have on my Bookmarks Bar, I click on the folder and use the "Add Page" which then places it there at the end (last) of all the bookmarks I have in it.

More and more, no matter how stubborn I was in trying to continue using O12, when I finally gave in...I am finding more and more this iteration of Opera is far better than O12.

What's interesting is that when I add a bookmark to an already created folder on my Bookmarks Bar, it places it at the bottom (last) whereas if I use the Heart icon, it places it on top (first). I tried this with my newly created folder "Later" - added a bookmark by clicking on the folder and clicked "Add Page" which placed it last; whereas if I clicked the Heart, Opera automatically placed it there first in the list.

          hmmm!!!
