      Hello

In the current Opera, in Vivaldi and in Chrome, the page title no longer displays in the blue bar above the browser window. In some other browsers, e.g. Firefox, it still does. I really need to see the page title. Is there an extension or method in Opera that allows me to see the page title (except by hovering my mouse over the Windows taskbar)? The title doesn't have to show at the top -- I just need to be able to see it at a glance without having to click.

[I can hover my mouse over the Opera tab on the Windows taskbar to see the page title, but it only shows the full page title if the Taskbar has the focus. If any window has the focus, then the hovering page title goes underneath that window, which means I can't see the entire page title unless I first click on the taskbar.]

      Thanks
      Samuel

It's in the tab - as much as will fit. Likewise hovering the tab shows it in a tooltip.

BTW, Firefox and IE11 do the exact same thing.

Anyway I must confess I miss that a bit. In the past it was cool to be able to see the complete title quickly in a specific place, instead of having to find the tab only to read only the first letters.

It could be achieved, I mean by the developers.
You need to make a suggestion, I guess, if they read them. There are some appearance options considering those upper bars: in Firefox it is, at least; so it could be done by having such a thing, with an additional custom bar, "Title bar".

In my up-to-date Firefox, there's no titlebar nor such an option, by the way.
My other browsers do have a title bar, however. Including my Google Chrome, that's for XP it means.

I can agree it doesn't feel too comfortable to not have a reminder on what the hell page you are now at once. One needs to either break their eyes trying to read what's written in the tab thingy, or same about the taskbar, or even grab some mouse and go roaming to hover - and again break the eyes there (though tooltips seem more discernible).

Having just checked everywhere in Firefox ... you can enable the title bar under Customize, same as you can enable a menu bar. However ... this is an Opera forum.

I suggest the OP post a feature request in the Suggestions forum.

Oh, my, Steve, thanks, you are right.
I just hit that, there is [Title bar] there.
Enabling it just makes the page narrower. Beside that the looks get a bit weirder...
Well, see, it's not a Firefox forum of course, but, see, my menu bar is only occupied by ~35%, the rest empty.
Could it be done - possibly - like to put the title itself, not the whole bar, only title, to that remaining 65% into the menu bar? It's a lot of space there, actually...
See, I need certain things that can seemingly be only reached using this menu bar: "Clear recent history", for example. If one could make a couple of respective buttons though and put them into some other partially occupied, or dynamic, or custom bar...
Firefox could theoretically do that. Olde Opera can do lots of things, too...
Well, why not also suggest to introduce some more custom buttons I mean? Or something? 😕
