Why opera do not support Opensearch? Chrome based on Chromium support Opensearch and I can add any search engine I want just by visiting the website(and you don't have to enter any url at all) and even edit or make it my default search engine, with Opera I can add a search engine but I can't make it my default engine and I can't even edit my default search engine for example if I don't wanna use a regionnal google instead of google.com I can't change while it's easy to do it on chrome.

Well, apparently it's already supported in Chromium so I don't see what's they have to figure about it?
I mean even when Microsoft launched Edge without many features 1 year ago they at least had an Opensearch support, I'm not sure about the technicals difficulties but I'm sure it's more easy to implement than extensions at least. -

Opera uses the Chromium renderer, not its interface.

The Edge dev team is just a smidge larger and better funded than the Opera team is.

Its probably not about difficultly. Its probably more that its low on the list. Like I said, they just haven't gotten to it. There have been plenty of other features that were little things that were requested and have been added. There are plenty more little things that have been requested and have not yet made it.
