Quicktime Plugin For Opera Missing; Quicktime Movie Will Not Run

A friend sent me web link to one of his private pages, which have home movies on it. When I go there, the movie is blank and there is a message within the movie outline "this plugin is not supported" using Opera 38

I have removed and reinstalled the latest Quicktime for Windows, but still no luck. However IE DOES play the movies - as DOES Opera 12.17

Any help appreciated.

Chromium based browsers no longer support NPAPI plugins. Pages that require that kind of plug-ins will have to update themselves or be in the risky of losing users.
