Do you have any pdf reader plugin installed? I mean, other that Opera's pre-installed one.
Ya I have adobe reader installed and only few pdf files were not opening which are opening in chrome

Ya I have adobe reader installed
Is the plugin listed in opera://plugins? if so, try to disable it. Or disable Opera's one.
Adobe reader plugin was not listed in plugins, and I have pdf chrome plugin was installed and I tried to disable it and enable it but of no use. The error I am getting is "couldn't load plugin" is for only few pdf's. Couldn't figure the problem. In the plugins section of chrome pdf, there are to types. One is browser plugin and the other is PPAPI(internal pdf viewer). I tried to disable the PPAPI, then the pdf file says to enable, when I enable the plugin again, then the pdf file opens. But when I refreshed the pdf file, the problem arises again.

Adobe reader plugin was not listed in plugins
So this is a NPAPI plugin and, therefore, will not work in Opera.
I have pdf chrome plugin was installed and I tried to disable it
Let it enabled as you will need it to view PDF files inside Opera.
Yes, I have enabled, but the problem still exists.

Right, because NPAPI plugins are not supported by Chromium based browsers and NPAPI support as a whole will be dropped by most major browsers on the market by the end of the year.

In case this is helpful to someone else, I saw the "Couldn't load plugin" error for pdf on only one web site (other sites seem to work fine). The site is http://geoscienceworld.org. You might need a subscription to try it for yourself - not sure. Here's a more specific example of a pdf I could not see with the plug-in: http://ammin.geoscienceworld.org/content/101/7/1704.full.pdf+html
To resolve the problem, I when into 'Settings > Plug-ins > Manage individual plug-ins...' and disabled Chrome pdf Viewer (disabled both plugins listed under "Chrome PDF Viewer"). Now it appears that my own Adobe plugin is doing the job instead, and I can load pdfs without problems. I have both Acrobat Pro 9 and Adobe Reader DC (free) installed on my system.
This is my Opera version info:
Version: 39.0.2256.48 - Opera is up to date
