Video not supported?

I've come across a problem here with the embedded video.
In Opera 36 it just puts up a message saying "This browser does not support video playback".
It works fine in Google Chrome.
It's not the same problem as some are having with Facebook videos, as they work fine for me.
Anyone any idea why this particular video won't play?

I'm still using Opera 36 as I'm still running it on Windows XP, which may or may not be relevant.
I just tried it again, and the video appears to load OK, and the player controls appear, but then the "This browser does not support video playback" message comes up in the video window.
Does anyone have a link to another video of the same type I could try without being a Twitter member?

it says Opera 36 supports everything except "H.264" and "MSE & H.264".
YouTube works fine using HTML5.

Ah, of course that is very probably the reason!
Thanks.
If Google Chrome works OK with it, I'm just surprised that Opera doesn't.

try installing a minimal set of Klite codec pack and try playing it again

I actually already have the K-Lite Codec Pack installed, and have had for many years.
It's rather an old version now though (8.2.0) as I haven't updated it for ages, so I may try a newer version to see if that makes any difference.
Thanks for the pointer.

I thought that might be the case!
Not a big deal, if I run across another video that won't play in Opera, I'll just use Chrome to watch it!
Thanks everyone for your help.

Thanks for this. I have the same issue, and thought I was missing a codec.
