Opera doesn't seem to be saving any settings.

Since the last update every time I close Opera it seems like all the settings are reset to their defaults. Download and install extensions? Gone after restarting. Say to any video site to allow fullscreen always? Gone too. Set downloads to ask me where to save them? Back to the Downloads folder. It's pretty annoying. I unchecked the read only option on the installation folder to see if maybe that fixed it, but it didn't.
I'm using Opera 36 on Windows 7
Appreciate any help I can get.

- System specs.
- Type of install, folder etc.
- Your administrative rights on your system, in case it matters.
- Cleaning and antimalware software wired up on your system.
- You see that girl - tell her she's hot, all right?

I'm using
Core i5 650 @3.25
12 GB of DDR3 ram
Geforce GTX 750 Ti
Windows 7
I'm using the default one (Program files x86) I don't know what else because I installed it like a year and a half ago. I'm gonna guess I got all the defaults.
I have Administrative rights, Its my own PC
ESET NOD 32 nothing else.
I'm not sure. I mean, she's ok, but I don't feel she's really hot. Still has her attractive.

As a test, rename Opera's profile folder and check if with the new profile the settings are saved.
I sent it to the recycle bin and after that Opera started saving the settings. So after restoring it I checked if the read only option was active and it was partially active. So I unchecked it and it seems like everything is working is now. Thank you for the help.

Side note - changing read only option in folder properites does absolutely nothing to files in this folder You may have had some problems with folder security, but this is not related to file/folder readonly settings.
