The Opera Mini for Android team is happy to announce the release of Opera Mini 14.
In this version, we've added a QR-code reader in the search and address bar. Tap it and you can use your device's camera to scan QR codes. You can use your camera for easier sharing, too. Now, you can take pictures directly in Opera Mini and quickly share them on your favorite social-network sites.
Also, we’ve added a language selector in the settings menu, and you can add custom search engines per category of search (in classic layout).
In addition to the new features, we fixed some download-related problems, so file downloading will be more stable in this version. Please give Opera Mini a spin and leave a comment with any feedback you may have for us.

Opera mini still does not carry a stable download manager...Opera still does not support the pause and resume feature properly..if the INTERNET connection drops out or if i have to pause a download and switch off my phone...next time i try to resume the download it disappoints me showing failed...Opera is definitely my first choice for its extremely data saving features with smooth browsing capabilities but Opera developers should think about its download manager...

Same here also.
I've already started getting used to UCBrowser as my default browser.
Currently, I'm using the download manager to download some 15MB ppt files and I'm beginning to wonder what really is the definition of "Download managers" in Opera mini terms.I'm not blowing trumpets. I'm just stating facts. Anyone that has used UCbrowser/UCweb will testify to how good the download manager is. No pause and fails compared to Opera mini.
Why, Opera, why?!

Opera Mini developers must need to upgrade their Opera Mini's built in poor Download Manager as like a super powerfull Download Manager. We face too much problem to download any files via Opera Mini.
Downloading speed is too much slow, Can't Resume any paused or failed download as well, missing multi part connection downloading feature, missing download link auto refresh feature. It's too much. -

Did it work before upgrade? Do you get any error message? Do other applications work?

I'm satisfied with Opera Mini's web browsing experience. It's like a Charm but when it comes about File Downloading, I've to say that Opera Mini is totally Bullshit !!!!
Please take serious step to Upgrade it's File Downloading System. -

From what version? Are you looking in "Other Speed Dials" ?
From version 12 - what is 'Other Speed Dials'?

From version 12
Have you installed Opera 14 whilke Opera 12 was still in the phone?
what is 'Other Speed Dials'?
It's where Speed Dials from other devices are found. Click on the icon that looks like a square with little squares inside it.
Yes, I followed the update link from google play and installed Opera 14. My speed dials vanished, though my bookmarks seem ok.
