How to import passwords from Opera 12 to 34

  • Hello,
I recently updated from Opera 12 to 34, but the passwords was not imported, i have many of them, and do it manually it's not really an option.

Any ideas on how to do it?

  • They should have been imported together with other data.

If there isn't an option to do it in settings, try reinstalling Opera 34.

  • If you had set a master password in 12, it isn't that easy. If that's you, I'll need to find that blog post where they give the details…

    There is no master password.
Any way to do it now?
I have wand.dat file, but how to convert it to new format file (Login Data)?

Even with an reinstall of Opera 34? They were stored on default place?

  • You could back up your profile for 34, remove it, and Opera should reimport everything. If it doesn't work again, you'd seem to be out of luck.

If it didn't import it the first time - common with either a standalone install or 64-bit version of 12 - there was a way to tell it where to look. But if it worked then I'm not sure ...

  • I tried to install from scratch (on other machine) Opera 12, then i putted wand.dat to profile directory, opera recognized all passwords, then i made an install of Opera 34 with importing all options, and still no luck, passwords not imported.

I sure there is a way of doing it, but how...
