New tab search or speed dial takes 10 seconds

I'm using Opera 32 on Windows 10 64 bit. I've noticed quite a big of sluggishness when trying to search from the URL bar, or right clicking text and selecting "Search". It's typically taking about 10 seconds for it to execute after I initiate it.

I was wondering if this is typical behavior or if there is something I can tweak to make it a bit faster.

Search is working fine and fast here.

It takes 10 seconds to open the tab with the results or to show them?

The tab opens quickly, it's the "request" that takes so long. Even if I were to click in the URL bar right now in this tab and search for something, when I hit enter it will take 10+ seconds for anything to show up. Not sure what is going on. Could it be the AdGuard extension or LastPass maybe? That's all I can think of.

Check with extensions disabled. If necessary also check with antivirus and/or anti-malware disabled.

Well I disabled AdGuard and LastPass and it appears to have fixed the problem.

Now re-enable one at a time to check which one is to be blamed. I would bet in AdGuard.
