Well, in the past you can just copy/highlight link by dragging the cursor over the words. Now they won't let you do it. Is there any way to copy or highlight link?

A link or a URL address which is not a hyperlink on the page?

Anyhow, in any browser or other application with text you should be able to highlight anything you want. Unless the application (or a site) specifically prevents that from happening (there are scripts).

I'm not quite sure what you're attempting. I find, in Opera 32, that I can highlight a link without opening it by holding down the left mouse button and carefully dragging the mouse cursor across it, and then copy it to the clipboard (Ctrl+C). One improvement in current Opera over the Opera 12.16 that I had been using until recently is that it now copies HTML to the clipboard. Thus in copying a link, it copies not only the visible text but the underlying URL also, and this can be pasted as a live link into some programs. Of course, you can also hover the mouse over the link, right-click, and choose Copy link address to copy just the URL and not the visible text to the clipboard.

David, your variant is *#*1 then.
But I was asking the author...

Hi, I notice not all the link can be highlighted so easily.

Is there any setting to enable easy highlight?

                  1. What's your Opera version? In case it matters.
                  2. Is it that you can't highlight some particular links? On particular pages? Would you mind their URLs then? And pointing out which links exactly you're unable to highlight.

Nope. There seem to be extension that make it more easy.

Certain link when your cursor gets near. It will show a finger icon for you to click. Hard to highlight.
