No automatic update avaiable / Kein Automatisches Update funktioniert

Hello,

firstly, sorry for my bad english.

I have a small problem with the autoupdate in opera. This is not avaiable for me. When I go to "About Opera" the program scans and says everything is up to date. But when I run the File Hippo App Manager, a new update is here.

I must download the newest version and install the update manually.

Upto now, in the updates only the last six numbers are changing.

Can everyone help me?

Ich habe ein kleines Problem mit dem automatischen Update. Jedesmal wenn ich in "About Opera" gehe, scannt er und sagt, alles ist auf den neusten Stand. Wenn ich aber z.B. File Hippo App Manager aufrufe, zeigt es mir ein Update an.

Ich muss dann immer von Opera die neuste version herunterladen und manuell installieren. Bis jetzt hatte ich nur Updates wo sich die letzten 6 Ziffern änderten.

Kann mir jemand helfen?

Update-Stream: Stable

There is a german forum if you prefer. You can reach it by clicking on the globe icon at the top right of the main page and changing the language.

It happens everytime a new build is released? And it happens for several days after the release?

I must download the newest version and install the update manually.

Do you use the online or the offline installer? Try downloading the online installer at http://www.opera.com/computer nd run it next time a new build is released - if the autoupdate doesn't work - to see if it fixes the issue.

Upto now, in the updates only the last six numbers are changing.

While in the same major version and in stable channel, only the last two should change.

Oh sorry. Now I know what you meen, but many thanks for your reply.

It happens every time... and it happens for several days after the release.
I use the online installer.

Is Opera connecting through a proxy? Some security software has been known to prevent Opera from checking the update server ...

thanks for your reply. Opera is not connecting through a proxy. And I have turned off my security software, when I start Opera to check, whether than the update is starting. Also with the same result, no update, everything is up to date....

You are using the latest version, so you will need to wait for a new release to check it.

I have checked it in the past several times, as a new release was ready for download.

So the security software isn't guilty.
