      heyal,

i have been searching and reading trying to find out how to put a home button on browser and show menus and as i'm reading it says you no longer have a home button, and all the pages have a lot of menus well mine doesn't ....

i don't see it in settings or from the main menu pull down from the opera icon top left corner

hot keys not working as described in posts

can someone tell me how to fix this issue of not having all the menus?

      thanks,
      southern belle

Individual menus were removed in Opera 15, as was the home button. If you are looking at an old help file they are probably talking about Opera 12 or before. You can get a kind of home button back with various extensions made for the current versions of Opera but you wont get the individual menus.

I like a Home button (used a bookmark bar button instead) and individual menus (like in Firefox). I would like a Bookmarks menu item that I can navigate instead of having to go a separate page each time I want to access bookmarks. And if you click the heart to bookmark a page and then change your mind, another click should remove it but it doesn't.

            V7 Bookmarks extension.

IIRC that is coming at some point. At least it was in the dev releases awhile back. Until then you can just right click the page and move the bookmark to your trash.

There's a remove button in the heart pop-up.

Hmm. Note seeing it. I see they added a button to make it a speed dial entry but I'm not seeing a remove button. I'm running Opera 31.0.1889.106.

It seems that opera://flags#trees-in-bookmarks needs to be enabled.

Unless I am mistaken, there is not an option to remove a bookmark via the heart menu, but there will be an option to do so in a future version of Opera, probably the next version. Currently, you can use the heart menu to remove a speed dial entry, however, which is what I suspect leocg is referring to.

You need to enable a flag for the button to appears. But it may have consequences so i guess it's better to wait.
