Give Us A way to lock in and stabilize log-in windows that keep flashing and blinking.

I found Opera sometimes blocks me being able to log in when it won't let the log in window load fully and it keeps flashing or blinking and I'm sure it's frustrating to other users when it happens to them.

I've ben talking about some site log-in windows blinking and flashing without fully loading and there's currently not a way to force them to lock and stabilize when they act up like this.

It's a major bug that started happening a few monthes ago with an update and there needs to be a way to stop the bouncing log in windows like when you try to log into a site you belong to and the log-in window starts flashing when it opens and refuses to stop doing that for you to log in.This is a bug that hasn't been fixed for ages and it needs something done about it to correct it so logging in isn't a pain for those affected by this bug.

I've got the latest version of Opera and I'm using Windows 7.
I'd need a video screen recorder to show the example of the flickering log in window because a screenshot won't show the issue.I can only give the web address of one site where log-in windows act up.I've got the address for http://nraas.wikispaces.com/ which is one of the sites where log in windows misbehave. -

This sounds like something got glitched out in recent Opera updates because they get released untested to the casual user and being able to chose how to update by setting to allow automatic updates or to manually check for and install updates is available in Firefox and I disabled the automatic updates and download a full installer of the next version when it's time to update and that works best for any browser.

Different people have different ideas about what works best. Thats why there are so many different web browsers out there. If one web browser does more thing your 'best way', then thats the one you should be using. Don't come to us and tell us what our 'best' should be though because chances are we wont agree with you. Especially if you're gonna do it in the wrong forum.

I just want us to have the choice because other have started glitching out in other ways and I started out suggesting having ways to fix loading issues on windows for logging in and on getting ways to customize site permissions which is a problem for more than just myself.Others have started complaining about sites getting blocked and log in windows not loading correctly.I found no extensions or ways of controlling the site permissions other that a basic permission menu and it's not even being honored and it's too basic.

Opera is tested a lot. However, there are lots of different users with different hardware, OSs, settings and so on. There are also millions of internet pages and it's kinda impossible for Opera or any other browser maker to test all scenarios before releasing a new version/build.
In the case of http://nraas.wikispaces.com/, as i said, the problem didn't happen when i changed the user agent (by using an extension)and this usually means that the problem is with the page itself and not with Opera.

Well, it seems that even Windows is going into (forced) automatic updates.
I may be wrong of course but i think that automatic updates will be the default behavior for (almost) all softwares in a few years.
Software makes don't want people using old versions because it will cost them resources. -

I do make updates by installing a new version on Firefox and it allows me to roll back if the new version is still bugged and most of us know how to update manually and would rather not have automatic updates forced on us when we're not ready to update and might be in the middle of something else.
I turned automatic updates off for Firefox because installing a new version is like updating though it's a lot safer and still leaves the older version there in case you have to roll back temporarily until bugs in an updated version are fixed.I'd rather see options to update manually or automatically and see new updates released to develpoers to test before being released to the general users after a few got released with major bugs and glitches like the bookmarks in the menu not working and other issues. -

Opera is not Firefox. I understand you like some things that Firefox does. Thats fine. Thats not how we're going to do things here and I personally would drop Opera in a second if it started to before more like Firefox. If you like Firefox better than use Firefox.
There are hundreds of posts on this forum already that detail how to disable Opera's automatic update. Either do what they suggest or don't, but don't come here to cry about it. This isn't the suggestion forum and we don't want to hear it. You've been told that twice now. So you are being borderline rude about it.

You can do it in Opera also but it may not be a very easy thing.
most of us know how to update manually and would rather not have automatic updates forced on us when we're not ready to update and might be in the middle of something else.
Unfortunatelly time and experience shows me that lots of people tend to forget that they are using an old version of a software and will probably start complaing, at some point, about issues that were already fixed months or maybe years ago.
Regarding the new version warning i can agree that it may be less invasive.

I'm just asking for ot to be made easier to disable or enable automatic updates and it could be included in optional extensions for those who want to disable the updates and can't figure out how to do it the other way or can't find what they need to find to stop the updating.
