i have the mail view like this:

      http://i.imgur.com/50ok1Gg.jpg

but now i need to use the panel on the right side, the problem is,
i have to move my mouse now every time all the way to the left, to choose an email from the list.
is there a way, maybe through editing the skin.ini, to get the mail list on the right side too?

      cheers

Not certain if there is a way; if there is the file you'd have to edit is widgets.yml in the ui folder.

I understand your pain. I had a thread about his a few years back. Basically I am right handed so I like my menus on the right whenever possible. I don't get how people can stand moving their mouse all the way to the left all the time, but convention says menus go on the left because we read from left to right or some foolishness like that.

Anyway, there seems to be no way to do what you want. My work around was to right click on whatever mail tab you have open, select restore, you will get a little minimized page in the upper left. Go ahead and resize it and drag it wherever you want. Opera will pretty closely remember where you had it when you close and reopen. You can also put a zoom slider tool to enlarge the text if need be. There is also a fit to width option in the mail settings. Pretty cool

                thanks!

another thing, where to change the width of the actual mail size?
when i open a mail, a tab opens, but the mail is show in the middle.
if i have pictures attached, i want to see them the whole tab width.

Mail formatting is controlled by one of the style files - for plain text messages. If it is an HTML message, then you may be out of luck.

I don't really know either YAML (to modify the layout of the mail window) or CSS, but at least CSS we should have lots of people around who can help. Look for mime.css, that's the file for mail messages.

I am not sure I understand your question, but you can set fit to width in the same mail layout options you pictured in your original post. If that's what you mean

fit to width is only shrinking the content if its bigger than the mail borders, thus eliminating the scroll bars.

@sgunhouse: hm, didnt find a setting that suggests the body size..

Yeah, don't know what you mean by body size. A screen shot would help

I think he may be looking for something that it won't do ...

If a message is HTML, then it'll appear as the sender specified. If a text message is wrapped, the size is whatever they sent it as. If a text message is "flowed" then it'll always adjust to the window. That's how mail in Opera and also Opera Mail was designed.

Try this: open up your preferences editor, navigate to mail and find "Message Width List On Left" Change that value to something like 200 or more, whatever you like

For html messages, probly need to install a zoom slider in the message toolbar

here: the mail body is inside the window, but its not getting bigger than that.
                                    http://i.imgur.com/ke4LqWL.jpg

thw width changes accordingly, when i use the list on the left, but not, when i double click on a mail and the window pops up.

                                    Message Width List On Left

this is the width of the list. i can change that also with the mouse. this is not the problem.

                                      It works for me: http://imgur.com/Dss4dTH

and note the description says "message width" not "list width" Maybe someone else can test it and see what happens

with a zoom slider it works, but the "problem" is that i dont want to have huge letters, i just want to see attached pictures bigger/full size..
