I guess you can copy /move them from one folder to another.

Just create a folder called "Bookmarks" within the bookmarks bar folder using the bookmarks manager, and copy all your bookmark folders into it.
Couldn't be easier!
You can right click on the folders in the bookmarks bar to sort them alphabetically.
