Hi is there an option within the user interface to remove news feeds from browser ?
Also is there an option like about:config where I can disable google from this browser ?

Disable Google? No, but you don't have to use it either. Likewise I seem to recall an option to not preload news, but not to disable it completely - but they don't force you to look at it either. Well, unless you got one of those test versions where news is in speed dial. In the latest Developer version news can be combined with speed dial, but in that version you can turn it off.

The only settings for news are there on the news page.
