Definitely a conflict of some sort.
My guess it's the Samsung ui / launcher...as Sgunhouse says, maybe trying a data clear, but of these b4 you tackle the Opera app.
Not opening happens with an incompatible app aswell eg., jellybean phone / lollipop app etc.
Historically, renaming the apk by adding a '1' (root required) cured AOSP browser force closing.

Thanks for trying to help. Hopefully next version will be going to open on my galaxy note3 again.
Sync : is it mandatory to sync the bookmarks with a computer ? was always logged into my opera acount when i used opera on my smartphone. opera sync/link was also always on but never synced with a computer since the smartphone is the only device i use. so by logging into my opera acount on any computer will show the bookmarks i originaly stored on my note3 ?thanks

Hi @rikscha,
If you had sync enabled in Opera on your note 3 it should be enough for your bookmarks to by synced to our servers. No need to sign in on your desktop.
You could either try clearing data for the application or try out the beta app instead. If you had sync enabled you should get all your data back when signing in again after clearing.

July 31, 2016. My Opera did not open apart from a small shrunken screen at the task bar. Well I worked out what was wrong with my Opera.
I use two monitors and some weeks ago I must have dragged the Opera opening screen to my No.2 Monitor and forgot to drag it back before switching off.
So simple and yet such a brain teaser to rectify.
