Issue: blurred font on webpages

Hi!
I have experienced blurred text on facebook lately.
The issue is triggered when I click into the status (What's on your mind?) or comments textarea or into the contact message dialog box (also a textarea I guess). This does not happen in following situations:
- In a private Window (all Extensions disabled)
- with hardware acceleration turned off
I have tried disabling all Extensions and enabling one by one until the problem starts.
Didn't work out as I thought:- disabled all Exts
- enabled 'fail-safe' Exts (Sidebar Exts, Exts that don't modify page content, context menu Exts)
so far so good - enabled Ext 'X', reload page -> Problem appears
- disabled Ext 'X', reload page -> Problem still persists... WTF?!
- repeat step 1. and 2. (remembered not to enable Ext 'X')
- repeated step 3./4. until problem occurs again
Does this happen to anybody else?
Until now I stick with Hardware Acceleration (HWA) turned off, but that should not be a permanent solution.
Btw. what difference does HWA make while browsing? It may also be caused by the browser.js. There's a patch at line 119
PATCH-1195, Facebook - block first character in the comment field from triggering a single key keyboard shortcut
Here's a screenshot:
browser.js:
Opera OPRDesktop 28.0 core 1750.0, August 6, 2015.

Have you customised some fonts adjustment on your system?
The (or a similar) problem has already been discussed here, but it was not recently and I forgot the name of the thing in question. Some "Real text"? Can't remember, sorry.

alright...
it seems this is not a site-specific problem.
Opera just screws the fonts no matter where I go.
Even this topic looks awful :yuck:It seems to be an Extension problem though. In private mode things still look good.

any idea? fix? pleeease
maybe some admin/moderator could change the topic title to sth. like "blurred font on webpages" instead

And have you tried disabling extensions and then re-enabling one at a time to try to find the one to blame?
Yuck! With 64 enabled Extensions that's gonna hurt down the back...
Besides, with so many Extensions there is a good chance that it's not just a single one causing the problem, but a combination, or even more.
I had this strange behavior, e.g.: A+B+X working well, A+B+Y working well, but A+X+Y or all together (A+B+X+Y) don't.
anyway.. I'll try it, we'll see where it gets me.
Another question: Is there a way to determine, what exactly causes the problem (JavaScript function or code, CSS rule, etc.) with the Developer Tools (F12) console or one of the other tools?

I've found the bastard! It's Night Mode
Before that one it was Deluminate (Chrome Extension) which
I have added to Opera with Download Chrome ExtensionJust installed the latest Version of Deluminate for Chrome. Right now things went back to normal.
But how safe is it to install Chrome Extensions in Opera? -

There are no guarantees whatsoever that it will work or be safe. Some work fine, some don't work at all. Use at your own risk.

Do you mean per flag or per command line switch?
FLAG (disabled by default)
browser://flags/#disable-direct-write
[Enable]CL
Opera NoDirectWrite.lnk
Target: ["C:\Program Files (x86)\OperaCr\launcher.exe" --disable-directwrite-for-ui]I just ran a big browser test. This are the results:
I tried:
- Opera Normal Window
- Opera Private Window
- Opera CL switch
- Opera developer
- Opera 12
- Chrome
on google.com/maps the font is displayed correctly everywhere
on google.de/maps the font is blurry on the current Opera Stable 31.0.1889.174 in any "mode"
all others work fine
Since this issue seems to be solved in Opera Dev I will have to wait for the update with the fix.
Until then I'm gonna use GMaps COMBut somehow I got the feeling that this is not the end of the blurry font story. I just wait for next site that screws things up massively.

But how safe is it to install Chrome Extensions in Opera? This was driving me nuts but never suspected an extension because it has been doing it for so long. Guess what: I also have Night Mode. After disabling it and restart Opera, Facebook doesn't blur anymore!
Thanks!
