Windows 7 I reinstalled and Opera is still totally broken. I can't use any aspect of it like exporting). Can someone tell me how to get my bookmarks from it? Its no longer in an ADR file that I can find.

Opera hasn't used bookmarks.adr to store bookmarks since version 12.
They are now in a file called simply "bookmarks" (no extension) which should be in your Profile\Data folder.
If you want to know where it is, look under "About Opera" on the main menu.

I believe you are mistaken altho I thank you for responding. I have no file or folder on my win7 machine by that name, nor in either AppData\Local\Opera or AppData\Roaming\Opera. Nor a single file named Bookmarks.

do you see bookmarks on dedicated bookmarks tab (new tab>>bottom bar Bookmarks) ?
if you do, then Bookmarks file must! be somewhere on your computer (you can transfer it between any chromium installation...Opera, Chrome, Vivaldi, Comodo...)
if you don't, well...then something got messed big time... reinstall is only solutionbtw. it's not AppData\Local\Opera (or roaming), correct path is AppData\Roaming\Opera Software (notice the difference)
to find your profile folder, go to O-button>>about Opera>>under paths is you profileif you want to export bookmarks in HTML file with folders tree (to import it in any other browser)
you can try this extension
V7 Bookmarks
on settings page there's export to HTML (or with favicons) -

THanks VUX but I've said above that "when I say nothing works in Opera I mean NOTHING". As I've also said above I have reinstalled already. So I can't try extensions either.
ANd yes I have checked the Opera Software folder for anything useful.
Can no one tell me where the bookmarks are located in Windows Explorer?
