Opera will not update

Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) Presto/2.12.388 Version/1

I keep getting reminders to update, follow the process, Opera closes and then restarts but the information does not update. Help please,

12.17 can't really update. It should install the current version of the new Opera (29) along side of your old Opera, but the old Opera is not removed - and if you continue to run it, will keep reminding you there is a new Opera.

He can downgrade the Presto one to an 11 then, Steve - I've no trouble yet.

Just go to Settings>Preferences>Advanced>Security and switch off update notifications.
There will almost certainly never be any more updates for 12.17 itself ;_; , so there's no point in having it enabled anyway.

Your replies have helped me to realise what has happened! I do now have Opera 29, love it! Flies!. However, it looks like no email?

Opera Blink (Opera 15+) should import your settings (or most of them at least) from Opera Presto.
